No! The Social Good Accelerator accepts ventures from 0-5 years old. This means you can just have a great idea, ready for the next step to establish a business entity, or already be an established nonprofit, for-profit, b-corp, cooperative, or other entity.
We deliberately keep our application simple — it is just a few questions about you and your project.
The second part of the application is a phone call with a member of the Advisory Committee where we have an enjoyable conversation while going more in depth about the project and determine the next steps.
The Social Good Accelerator is a 3-year program, with only a 12 week up front time commitment. There are 10 classes on Tuesdays from 6:00PM-7:30PM between May and August 2021. Additionally, there are 2-weeks dedicated to introducing you to problem-solving, coaching, and advisory sessions. These opportunities will be reduced, but extend over the full 3-years. Over the course of your three years, you'll get access to a network of peers— other social entreprenuers, coaches, community members, and more. You'll also have access to ongoing support, promotional and application help, community introductions, opportunity listings, and more.
The projects selected for the 2021 SGA Cohort will be announced during the week starting Monday, April 26, 2021.
Coaching sessions are one of four ways that we will help you take the next step with your social venture. Coaching allows you to dive more specifically into the problems you and your business needs, and your path forward. The classes are group time— working with your peers to come to both group and individual conclusions.Coaching session are your 'me' time. One-on-one with an expert willing to advise, coach, or help your problem-solve. They can be a powerful tool for growth.
Coaching sessions are available year-round, though with a smaller allotment of coaches..
All sessions, excluding Session #01 - The Meet & Greet and the Showcase event, run from 6 pm until 7:30 pm. The Zoom room will open at 5:30 pm and close at 8 pm. If you have questions, need to schedule meeting, or wish to talk to one of the facilitators, you can drop in early or stay a little later.
